After-School Math Buddy
Brief Organizational Description:
Our mission is to support the residents of Richmond’s East End community and educate its children, equipping them to serve as positive contributors to their family, community, and society.
Volunteer Position Description and Purpose:
Support our students with math after school during the 2025-2026 school year! Join us in making a difference by helping students strengthen their math skills in a supportive, after-school setting.
Volunteer Duties & Responsibilities:
Volunteers will be paired with a student and will spend one hour working on math skills/homework and playing games.
Qualifications, Skills, & Requirements:
Orientation/training and all materials provided.
Time Commitment:
Reading buddies meet Mon-Thurs from 4-5pm. Volunteers choose which day works best for them for a weekly commitment.
Other Information (if applicable):
- Volunteer hours are verified on VolunteerMark
- Please wear comfortable, casual clothes that are appropriate for a school-type setting
- Free street parking is readily available and we are right on on the bus line
- Background check required
