Community Project Volunteer
Brief Organizational Description: Our organization educates and supports both international and native-born citizens as we empower people of all ages to lead prosperous lives. We also encourage, enlighten, and empower our community partners to recognize and provide outreach opportunities as we support the international population to develop stronger connections with other members of their community.
Volunteer Position Description and Purpose: We are seeking local volunteers who are able to travel to our office at 101 Cowardin Ave, Suite 103B, Richmond, VA 23224 to help us with our Annual NICU Esther Eboade Basket Project.
We need volunteers to assemble baskets of goodies for Medical staff and the new mothers with preemie babies in the NICU of local hospitals across the state of Virignia.
This is a way to give back for anyone who appreciates new motherhood and its challenges. We at WoMen of Connections would like to help them and provide encouragement and assistance not only for the patients but also the NICU nurses who go above and beyond the call of duty in their jobs on a daily basis.

We can accomodate those who need Community Service hours for Driving Tickets! If you would like to complete Community Service, please send your Paperwork with a copy of your Driving Ticket and your Lawyer's Name to woc1ministry@gmail.com.

Volunteer Duties & Responsibilities:
Volunteers will primarily be assembling gift baskets for new mothers with babies born prematurely that are in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit of hospitals across Virginia. You may also be helping with wrapping things up after completion of the baskets.
Qualifications, Skills, & Requirements:
A willing and helpful personality, agile hands, ability to follow instructions.
Time Commitment:
We need volunteers for Friday and Saturday in the coming month
You can help as little as 3 hours per day or as much as the whole day!
We can accomodate up to 12 volunteers per 3 hour segment
Other Information (if applicable):
- This is a great opportunity for fulfilling any community hours requirements that you many have. (Driving ticket Only)
- This is a great opportunity for fulfilling any community Service hours requirements for college students
- We can provide a letter to confirm hours completes, or your can bring your volunteer log.
- There will be someone there to show you what needs to be done and how it needs to be done .
- Please dress comfortably and casually.
- Free parking is located in the open parking lot behind the building with the entry and exit being off Bainbridge Street.
- We are located at 101 Cowardin Avenue, Suite 103B, Richmond, VA 23224.
- We are located in the Manchester Medical Building at the corner of Cowardin Avenue and Bainbridge Street.
- Please do not bring valuables with you as a precaution.
