Live Red Foundation- East Coast Triathlon Festival Volunteers Needed
Brief Organizational Description:
Live Red Foundation empowers children in low-opportunity communities throughout Richmond, VA by teaching them life skills through free fitness programs. In 2024, we reached over 8000 children! We fund our programs through corporate sponsorships, individual donations, and proceeds from a series of multisport events. These events further our mission of empowering children and are critical to our fundraising efforts.
Volunteer Position Description and Purpose:
The Live Red Foundation needs volunteers for our largest fundraising event. The East Coast Triathlon Festival on May 3-4, 2025 is a multi-sport event bringing athletes from all across the country. Volunteers bring our mission to life, and we need 225 volunteers for this two-day event. All volunteers receive a t-shirt and snacks.
Volunteer Duties & Responsibilities:
Volunteer duties include set-up, bike course support, run course support, swim course support, check-in desk, water/aid station, transition area, tear down, and clean up.
Qualifications, Skills, & Requirements:
Most positions require no special qualifications; however, there are a few positions that have age requirements and specific skills such as lifeguarding.
Time Commitment:
We have 225 opportunities available and the time commitment varies by task. Most shifts are 4-5 hours.
Saturday, May 3, 2025 shifts available from 6:00 AM to 7:00 PM
Sunday, May 4, 2025 shifts available from 4:30 AM to 6:30 PM
