ART 180 Gallery Cleanup and Painting Day!
Brief Organizational Description: ART 180 is a collective of artists, young people, teachers, community members, and supporters of all kinds using the arts as a medium to cultivate self-understanding and joy in our community. ART 180 develops creative programming connecting artists to young people, to our community, and to each other through public events, workshops, and arts programs and opportunities for creative young people.

Volunteer Position Description and Purpose: Atlas is ART 180's art center and gallery, a safe space for teens to relax, create, and explore new mediums of art and production at no cost! We have just celebrated our 11th anniversary in this space and are in great need of a refresh--that means repainting, dusting, organizing, and whatever else we can get done to make Atlas the best it can be for Richmond youth to create, but also exhibit their art throughout the year. This is a big job made much easier with the help of volunteer groups and individuals!
Volunteer Duties & Responsibilities: Volunteers will work in the gallery to help with basic painting, cleaning, and organizing tasks.
Qualifications, Skills, & Requirements: No special qualifications necessary. Any experience painting walls/furniture is a nice bonus!
Time Commitment: Shifts are flexible between 10am and 4pm, but 3 hour minimum shift is required.
Other Information (if applicable): Dress for comfort, physical activity, and potential paint drops! Painting and cleaning will be happening indoors, but with large fans and open doors to improve ventilation. Supplies and water will be provided. Street parking is available in the gallery vicinity.
