CPR/AED Training
Brief Organizational Description:
Our mission is to bring free and equitable access to CPR and AED education to all communities with a specific dedication to those communities most adversely affected by cardiac arrest due to race, ethnicity, primary language, or access to healthcare education.
Volunteer Position Description and Purpose:
With our free CPR/AED trainings, we need a number of hands-on practice volunteers. After the completion of the lecture portion of a class, we break into small groups to practice compressions/applying an AED.
Volunteer Duties & Responsibilities:
Hands-on instructors will assist with small group CPR/AED practice. You will monitor participants performing compressions and applying an AED while providing helpful feedback.
Qualifications, Skills, & Requirements:
Only requirement is that you've taken a CPR class in the past! You do not need to provide proof of this.
Time Commitment:
The total time commitment is approximately 2 hours. The class itself should last an hour and a half, but we ask volunteers to arrive 15 minutes early and stay 15 minutes after (to help with any set up or break down).

- Volunteer hours verification: If you need verification for your hours, please email hliffert@compressandshock.org.
- Recommended attire: If you have a C&S t-shirt, please wear it. If you don't have one, but would like one prior to training, reach out to Heather. You're also welcome to wear casual attire and not required to wear a C&S t-shirt. Fire/EMS/law enforcement are welcomed and encouraged to wear their uniforms!
