Give Back to Baseball and Work a Squirrels Game
We’re looking for enthusiastic and reliable volunteers to help us work the concession stands during the August 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, 31 at Richmond Flying Squirrels!
Brief Organizational Description:
Kids on First is a non-profit that helps minorities in the underserved areas get access to baseball. We do this by not only providing games, but coaching, transportation, education, food and other means of being able to create the baseball experience.
Volunteer Position Description and Purpose: By volunteering your time, you'll be helping Kids on First raise essential funds to support youth baseball programs, mentorship, and community impact initiatives right here in RVA.
Volunteer Duties & Responsibilities:
Grilling – Work the grill and keep the crowd fed with hot dogs, burgers, and ballpark favorites.
Beer Pouring – Serve drinks responsibly and keep fans refreshed (must be 21+).
Food Prep – Help assemble meals, prep ingredients, and keep things running smoothly behind the scenes.
Cashiering – Run the register, take orders, and serve up smiles.
General Help – Assist with stocking, cleaning, and keeping concession areas organized.
Qualifications, Skills, & Requirements:

Training is provided — no experience needed

Must be 16+ to volunteer (21+ for beer service)

Team players with positive attitudes are a must!
Time Commitment:
August 26, 27, 28, 29, 30 or 31 We would love if you could do 2, but 1 is perfect! Shifts are usually 4–5 hours during home games
Other Information (if applicable):
- We will mark a log at the field
- Provided on site, very simple
- Given shirts to wear, bottoms are whatever you want
- Parking is free across the street from the field.
- you do not need to bring anything, but a positive attitude and wanting to work hard!
- Special instructions, etc.
