Volunteers needed at SOAR365 (artists, chefs, craft lovers and more)!
Join Our SOAR365 Volunteer Team!
SOAR365 creates life-fulfilling opportunities for individuals with disabilities, annually serving over 1,700 people and their families. Founded in 1954, SOAR365 is an organization created by families, for families, an organization that has grown to provide a continuum of programs and services for individuals with disabilities across their lifespan.
We're seeking volunteers to work directly with our participants on whatever skill or interest you might bring to the table! Do you like cooking? Help us lead a cooking class! Do you enjoy arts and crafts, woodburning, scrapbooking? We'd love your help!
The participants are from our Youth Services program and our Adult Day Support program. The volunteer(s) would ideally come into our facility at least twice a month, share your knowledge, and help lead a small activity. We will work with you to get supplies. This is a flexible position in terms of scheduling (more on that below) but the important part will be the ability to interact directlly with our participants and our staff - and we can help you learn how to do that! Prior to beginning, you will attend a training on working with individuals with disabilities. We can promise that whether you've worked directly with individuals with disabilities before or not, you will have a BLAST!
