Welcome to the CarMax Cares Month project selection page! Each June, thousands of Associates volunteer for causes important to them through The CarMax Foundation’s Volunteer Teambuilding (VTB) program.
Below is a list of available volunteer opportunities with nonprofits across the greater Richmond region. Please select projects 3-4 weeks in advance of desired project date. Due to limited capacity of nonprofits to intake volunteers, we ask associates to limit participation to 1 VTB this June.
To help us keep volunteer projects organized and ensure our partners receive funding, we kindly ask CarMax employees not to reach out to nonprofits directly. The Community Foundation works closely with both CarMax and our nonprofit partners, and a member of our team will follow up on your project request within 2–3 business days of submission.
