Transplant Seedlings at the Fit4Kids Greenhouse
Join us at Fit4Kids Greenhouse space in eastern Henrico and help us transplant all kinds of seedlings such as greens, herbs, beans, cauliflower, celery, flowers, and MUCH more! Fit4Kids will donate thousands of seedlings to local gardening initiatives and will also plant in our school gardens.
You will transplant seedlings from trays to individual cells. This will make it possible to donate and sell the starter plants. We may have some additional greenhouse tasks like mixing soil, labelling amendments, filling growbags, and more.
Dress comfortably for the weather and wear clothes you don't mind getting dirty! Be sure to wear closed-toe shoes and bring garden/work gloves if you have them. We will have extras if you need them. Bring your own water, snacks, or any other personal items. A portable bathroom is available on site.
