Equipment Repair Tech Volunteer - Fleet Services Garage
Brief Organizational Description:
Securing the Commonwealth through leadership, collaboration, and community engagement.
Volunteer Position Description and Purpose:
Learn how to complete preventative and routine maintenance, diagnosis and repairs on Department vehicles.
Volunteer Duties & Responsibilities:
Diagnose, repair, and service a variety of vehicles using trsting equipment, manuals, and on-line resources. Cleans vehicles prior to issuance. Remove and surplus equipment.
Qualifications, Skills, & Requirements:
Ability to learn to diagnose, repair, and service a variety of vehicles. Ability to learn to remove equipment for vehicle surplus. Prior experience with Automotive Technology, Mechanical Technology or Electronics preferred.
Time Commitment:
Flexible hours for students. Can be discussed on an individual basis.

Volunteers can bring a volunteer log that the on duty Supervisor/Manager will sign off on.

Orientation will be provided on the initial start day.

Clean clothing required (no ripped jeans or graphic tees).

Only available Monday -Friday at the Installation Facility located in N. Chesterfield, VA.

Completion of VSP Volunteer Application Required.
