Vehicle Detailer Volunteer - Fleet Services Garage
Brief Organizational Description:
Securing the Commonwealth through leadership, collaboration, and community engagement.
Volunteer Position Description and Purpose:
Learn how to clean a variety of Department owned vehicles to ensure a professional image is projected to the customer and the public.
Volunteer Duties & Responsibilities:
Pre-Stage and shuffle vehicles throughout the SPHQ campus. Use various tools to detail the interior and exterior of vehicles. Ensure adequate supply for cleaning inventory. Complete inspection report for each vehicle detailed.
Qualifications, Skills, & Requirements:
Ability to learn to use pressure washers, steamers, polishers, vacuums, and other intricate tools to clean the interior and exterior of both new and used vehicles. Attention to detail. Virginia Operator's License required. Interest in automobiles preferred.
Time Commitment:
Flexible hours. Can be discussed on an individual basis.
Other Information (if applicable):
- Volunteers can bring a volunteer log that the on duty Supervisor/Manager will sign off on.
- Orientation will be provided on the initial start day.
- Clean clothing required (no ripped jeans or graphic tees).
- Only available Monday-Friday at the VSP Headquarters in N. Chesterfield, VA.
- Completion of a VSP Volunteer application required.
