Fonticello Park Native Meadow Installation
Brief Organizational Description:
The Friends of Fonticello Park are honoring the history of the park, while creating a safe, welcoming and nourishing outdoor space for our community and neighbors. Check us out at https://fonticelloparkrva.com/
Volunteer Position Description and Purpose:
Volunteers will be helping to plant a native meadow on the site of the old tennis courts. Volunteers will be moving mulch, planting plugs, and watering in plants.
Time Commitment
Volunteers can come for either the morning shift, afternoon shift, or both.
Morning Shift: 9-11:30am
Afternoon Shift: 1-3:30pm
Other Information (if applicable):
- Meet at the corner of Perry and W. 29th St
- Street parking is available.
- Park neighbors are highly encouraged to sign up, since you can walk!
- Tools will be provided
- Dress accordingly. Wear closed toed shoes and sun protection if needed.
- Bring a water bottle to stay hydrated.
