Processing donations to our non-profit thrift store.
Brief Organizational Description:
We are a non-profit thrift store that is based on donations from the public. All revenue goes to support the operation of local animal rescues.
Volunteer Position Description and Purpose:
We are continually recieving donations from our community, and need volunteers to help process, clean and hang them.
Volunteer Duties & Responsibilities:
Volunteers will hang clothing and tag it for pricing, clean and organize donations for pricing, sort and clean jewelry, unpack and shelve books in their appropriate section, and do light moving of merchandise from our processing space.
Qualifications, Skills, & Requirements:
Volunteers should be able to stand for periods of time, and do light cleaning (dusting or polishing) of items.
We are also in need of volunteers with specific areas of knowledge such as clothing, books, jewelry and furniture. Opportunities to take books and jewlelry home to research value and sort can also be scheduled.
