Brief Organizational Description:
UMFS is a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering children, teens, & families through foster care, adoption, education, mental health resources, community support, and therapeutic services. We continue to serve as unwavering champions for our families and our community by cultivating safe spaces for youth to learn, grow, live, and navigate life's challenges.
Volunteer Position Description and Purpose:
Campus Beautification for our Food Forest & campus gardens
Volunteer Duties & Responsibilities:
Volunteers will help with re-mulching and fertilizing, maintaining the blueberries and grapes, securing the mounds on the vining hill, and potentially planting strawberries
Qualifications, Skills, & Requirements:
Volunteers will work with a master gardener, so no prior skills necessary
Time Commitment:
11am - 1pm
Other Information (if applicable):
- Volunteers should come dressed to get dirty!
- Volunteers are welcome to bring water and snacks, but no items in glass!
Age Minimum (with Adult): 1+, Minimum Age:18+
