Golf Tournament Volunteers Needed - Alzheimer's Association, The Longest Day
Brief Organizational Description:
The Alzheimer's Association is the leading voluntary health organization in Alzheimer's care, support, and research. Through events like The Longest Day, we raise critical funds and awareness to advance the fight against Alzheimer's and all other dementia.
Volunteer Position Description and Purpose:
Support an annual Charity Golf Tournament benefiting The Longest Day on Friday, May 9th at Hanover Golf Club! Volunteers are essential to ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience for participants. Your time and energy will directly support our mission to end Alzheimer's.
Volunteer Duties & Responsibilities:

Assist with event setup, including tables, signage, and materials

Greet and check in golfers as they arrive

Provide directions, distribute materials, and answer general questions

Support tournament staff with any day-of logistics as needed
Qualifications, Skills, & Requirements:

Friendly and welcoming demeanor

Ability to be on your feet for extended periods

No prior training required; all instructions will be provided on-site

Must be 18+
Time Commitment:
Flexible shifts beginning at 11:00 AM on Friday, May 9th. Volunteers are welcome to stay for the full event or assist for a few hours—every bit helps!
Other Information (if applicable):

Volunteer hours will be tracked by an on-site team lead—no need to bring a log

A brief orientation will be provided upon arrival

Recommended attire: comfortable shoes, weather-appropriate clothing, as purple as you can be

Food and refreshments will be provided for all volunteers

Parking instructions and day-of details will be emailed once interest is confirmed
