Join the Red Cross Volunteer Recruitment Team as an Advertising and Marketing Volunteer! In this role, you will play a critical part in attracting new volunteers by enhancing our outreach efforts through various media platforms.
Key Responsibilities
As an Advertising and Marketing Volunteer, you will:
- Update Flyers and Materials: Utilize Brand Central to ensure all our recruitment materials are current, engaging, and aligned with Red Cross branding guidelines.
- Flyer Distribution: Help distribute flyers in key community areas to promote volunteer opportunities and increase awareness of our mission.
- Online Postings and Follow-Ups: Manage and update online postings, ensuring timely follow-ups to engage potential volunteers effectively.
- Collaboration with Local Newspapers: Work closely with local newspapers to publish recruitment articles that highlight the rewarding opportunities available within the Red Cross.
- E-Newspapers Contributions: Send compelling articles to e-newspapers, broadening our reach to digital audiences.
- Social Media Group Outreach: Engage with social media groups to promote volunteer opportunities, sharing stories and updates to inspire action and involvement.
Qualifications
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience in marketing, advertising, or a related field is beneficial
- Comfortable using social media platforms and digital communication tools
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Creative, proactive, and enthusiastic about community service
Requirements:
- A commitment of at least 6 months and 4 hours per month.
- A valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle (a Red Cross vehicle and gas card will be provided).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A professional and positive attitude.
- A willingness to learn and follow the Red Cross policies and procedures
