Brief Organizational Description: Partnership for the Future is a workforce development organization that provides college and workplace readiness programs to high-achieving high school students with limited resources to equip them for success in college and beyond. Volunteer Position Description and Purpose: The GUIDES Mentor will primarily assist PFF high school seniors with the college, financial aid, and scholarship processes. The Mentor will work with 1-2 students and his/her guardians to ensure that the processes are completed correctly and in a timely manner. Volunteer Duties & Responsibilities:
Qualifications, Skills, & Requirements: GUIDES Mentors should be graduates of a four-year college/university, be comfortable working with youth and be enthusiastic about assisting in the college transition process. A background check is required. Time Commitment: Approximately two hours a month September 2025 through April 2026. An ending celebration will happen in early May and is required. Other Information: Training session will be virtual. Must attend Student Meet & Greet. We will schedule additional trainings as neccessary. |
