GFAC MLK Day of Service: Restore Our Space, Revitalize Black Girls
Brief Organizational Description:
Girls For A Change focuses on the development of self identifying Black girls as leaders and change makers across the Greater Richmond Metro Area. We invite members of the community to participate in an MLK Day of Service at our center on Friday, January 16th, 2026.
Volunteer Position Description and Purpose:
Volunteers will be assisting us with cleaning, stocking, and organizing our program spaces and snack pantry for our spring semester of after school programs.
Volunteer Duties & Responsibilities:
- Indoor Storage Reorganization
- Facility Cleaning
- Pantry Stocking and Organization
Time Commitment:
Please plan to stay for the entire event.
Other Information (if applicable):
- We ask that you dress in comfortable clothes that you do not mind getting dirty and closed toe shoes for safety reasons
- Access to a restroom will be available
- Snacks and water will be provided
