REAL House Gardens
You will work with the Lifers in one of the REAL houses to plant a garden! You can either help plant and maintain spring crops in our already built gardens, or sign up to build the raised beds and plant the garden. The skills you will teach the Lifers will help them continue to garden once they move into their own home - and can teach their families, friends and neighbors - ensuring their communities have access to fresh fruits and vegetables.
This project is perfect for groups of friends, church groups, co-workers, or families! Residents of North Highland Park have already been working together with the Lifers at our re-entry house. We are so grateful for their support - it's been a fantastic experience for both the volunteers and the Lifers!
Will you "adopt" a yard for gardening at one of our houses?
*Recommended for groups*
