Brief Organizational Description:
For 30 years, the ToolBank network has been empowering the not-for-profit sector with the tools, equipment & expertise that are central to completing tens of thousands of community transformation projects each year.
Volunteer Position Description and Purpose:
Have you ever wondered what it would be like to be stuck outside without protection from the wind, rain, and cold? Our four-legged friends need your help to have a place where they can get out of the elements and be protected year-round!
The Richmond ToolBank is looking for volunteers to help build Dog Houses that will be donated to Ring Dog Rescue! This open-to-the-public, sponsored community build is an exciting opportunity to give back to the community and pick up new skills along the way! With the hellp from volunteers, the Richmond ToolBank will be building 60 dog houses over the next several weeks and we need your help!
Volunteer Duties & Responsibilities:
Volunteers will utilize a selection of tools to assemble Dog Houses to be donated throughout the Richmond community via Ring Dog Rescue.
Qualifications, Skills, & Requirements:
- No experience is needed for this project! ToolBank staff will facilitate the build and be available to answer any questions during the process!
- All tools for this project will be provided by the Richmond ToolBank.
- Please be sure to wear closed-toed shoes, and clothing suitable for building.
- Parking is located on the interstate-facing side of the Michael and Sons building inside the fenced-in parking lot.
Time Commitment:
This project will run approximately 4 hours from 9 am to 1 pm
