Tree Planting at Canoe Run
Capital Trees in partnership with Keep Virginia Beautiful and Richmond Parks, Rec, and Community Facilities will be hosting a tree planting event at Canoe Run Park (600 West 22nd street). For this corporate sponsored event we will be planting 50 trees along the exercise trail and we need extra hands to help get a diverse range of species planted in one afternoon! Whether you have participated in other tree planting events, or this is your first time, we could use your help!
The workday will be held on Sunday, October 29th from 1:00 - 4:00 p.m. A safety talk and tree planting overview will happen at the start of the event.
We do ask that everyone wear sturdy closed-toed shoes and request that participants bring a reusable water bottle. Layerable clothes and a hat are highly encouraged. Additional information about weather and parking will be available closer to the workday.
