Planting at Varina LandLab Conservation Area
Brief Organizational Description:
Capital Region Land Conservancy (CRLC) is dedicated to conserving the natural and historic resources of Virginia’s Richmond region for the benefit of people and nature.
Volunteer Duties & Responsibilities:
Volunteers will help with the improvement of CRLC's 350-acre public lands in eastern Henrico located off historic Route 5.
This is an active task where volunteers will plant seedlings at meadow, river shoreline and overlook, plus pull invasive species.
Qualifications, Skills, & Requirements:
Gardening experience is helpful but not necessary. Training and tools will be provided.
Time Commitment:
Monday, April 21, 2025; 10:30am - 12:30pm

Volunteer task will take place at Capital Region Land Conservancy's Varina LandLab Conservation Area. We will meet at trailhead located at 9200 Deep Bottom Road, Richmond, VA 23231
Parking is available at trailhead.
Volunteers are recommended to wear longsleeves, pants, closed-toed shoes plus sun protection. Snacks and water will be provided, but volunteers are welcome to bring their own water.
