Brief Organizational Description:
To put Christian principles into practice through programs that build a healthy spirt, mind and body for all. As a nonprofit we are committed to making our community a better place to live, work and play.
Volunteer Position Description and Purpose:
Join us in a day of service to honor the James River and help to build meaningful relationships with our community. We are better together when we strive to help one another to thrive. Day of Service organizations include, the YMCA of Greater Richmond, and the Jewish Federation of Richmond..
Volunteer Duties & Responsibilities:
Clean up trash around the river and park area / spread mulch
Qualifications, Skills, & Requirements:
No specific skills needed.
Time Commitment:
2-5 pm
Other Information:
- Registration required
- All ages welcome (children mjust be accompanied by a parent or guardian)
- Gloves, trash bags and trash grabbers are provided
- Orientation by James RIver staff at the beginnng
- Wear closed toed shoes
- Water and snacks provided
- Restrooms available
