Hanover 9/11 Day of Service: Canine Social
Brief Organizational Description:
"To serve and protect the public and promote a safer community through resposible animal ownership and humane care"
Volunteer Position Description and Purpose:
Help socialize and walk the dogs in the shelter. This allows social interaction for the dogs to help their probability of adoption and get out of their kennel.
Volunteer Duties & Responsibilities:
Walking the dogs around Taylor Complex Park on leash to provide enrichment.
Qualifications, Skills, & Requirements:
No specific training required. All equipment (leashes, collars) will be provided by Animal Protection
Time Commitment:
9am - 12:00pm and 1:00pm - 4:00pm
Other Information (if applicable):
- Volunteers will sign-in at front lobby of shelter
- Wear comfortable clothing and dress for the weather
Age Minimum (with Adult): 10+, Minimum Age:16+
