English Classes (ESL) volunteer at the Manchester YMCA
Brief Organizational Description:
The Anderson Family Welcome Center at the Manchester YMCA is dedicated in helping our community grow throuhg programs that help people thrive!
Volunteer Position Description and Purpose:
For this opportunity, volunteers will be assisting the classroom teacher with setting up the room, helping lead small group sessions for classroom activities when needed, and supporting participants with questions or assistance.
Volunteer Duties & Responsibilities:
Setting up classroom (moving a few chairs and tables around the classroom, helping teacher with class material and activities, helping participants answer questions.
Qualifications, Skills, & Requirements:
No qualifications are needed. Teaching expereice is a big plus. Patince and possitive attitude!
Time Commitment:
We ask that every volunteer signs up for at least two classes in the same week.
Other Information (if applicable):
- Volunteer hours will be tracked through YMCA intake form that needs to be filled out every time you volunteer
- Training will be provided prior to first day of volunteering
- Volunteers are not responsible for creating classroom activities or class curriculum.
