Clean-Up at Historic Battlefield
Brief Organizational Description:
Capital Region Land Conservancy (CRLC) is dedicated to conserving the natural and historic resources of Virginia’s Richmond region for the benefit of people and nature.
Volunteer Position Description and Purpose:
Sign up to volunteer with Capital Region Land Conservancy and the Richmond Battlefield Association to assist in a clean-up project at Bradbury Road in Henrico County. This historic land is located within the Study Area for the Civil War Battlefields of Deep Bottom I and Deep Bottom II. The area buffers land owned and protected by CRLC and the American Battlefield Trust and is targeted for future public access.
Volunteer Duties & Responsibilities:
Volunteers will assist with trash pick-up along Bradbury Road and within the property. Trash and items found will be placed on a trailer for removal.
Time Commitment:
This is a two-hour volunteer commitment on Saturday, May 9, 2026 from 10:00am to 12:00pm
Other Information:
Directions and parking instructions will be sent following registration. No training needed. Gloves and trash bags will be provided, although volunteers are welcome to bring their own. Please bring water and a snack if desired. Sun protection, closed-toed shoes, and long-sleeve and long-pants are recommended. Don't forget your water!
