Hanover 9/11 Day of Service At Wings Of Hope Ranch

Our Mission: Wings of Hope Ranch is a non profit organization that ministers to children facing challlenges thorugh relationships with rescued horses. All of our services are free to the children (ages 5 - 17) that participate in our program

Our Volunteer Opportunity: Join us to commemorate 9/11 on Thursday 9-11-26 from 9 am to 12 noon to help out around the ranch. Jobs typically include tasks like cleaning, organizing, event set up, weed whacking, limb trimming, and more inside and outside jobs. If you are able to operate power tools or equipment please let us know in advance so we can have jobs prepped for you. We will also be preppring for a large event coming later in the month called the International Ranch Ministry Conference. We will be cleaning chairs and tables and setting up spaces for the clinic, which draws about 300 people from all over the world who want to do similar ministry work.

Who can participate: We will have jobs for ages 10+(10-13 year olds must have a parent/guardian in attendance).

What you need/dont need: All attendees will need close toed shoes, a signed/completed waiver for Hanover County and Wings of Hope Ranch (See link to waiver below) which can be completed online ahead of time. You may want to bring: water, work gloves, weed whacker (most needed) and safety equipment, tools or cleaning supplies, hat, sunscreen, bug spray. DO NOT BRING- dog /pets or any snacks containing nuts or other common allergens.
 

Qualifications, Skills, & Requirements: Everyone participating must sign a ranch waiver. Anyone under 18 must have a parent sign the waiver.

Time Commitment:
We would love for you to commit for the whole 3 hours so we can all get started and close together. The time of this work day is 9 am to 12 noon.

All volunteers that are not current Hanover County employees are required to complete the Hanover County Assumption of Risk form prior to participating in the day of service.
