Join Us for Earth Day Community Cleanups with the City of Richmond – April 25
The City of Richmond’s Office of Neighborhood Engagement (ONE) was established in 2024 and plays a vital role in building and maintaining strong relationships between residents, community leaders, and local government. ONE coordinates services for neighborhoods, fosters a sense of community, promotes active participation, and contributes to the overall well-being and vibrancy of our neighborhoods.
The City of Richmond’s Office of Neighborhood Engagement is excited to host Community Cleanups at multiple locations across the city in celebration of Earth Day!
We’re looking for volunteers at each site to join neighbors in making a positive impact. This is a family-friendly event, and children are welcome as long as they are accompanied by an adult.
We’ll provide trash grabbers, bags, and safety vests. Volunteers are encouraged to bring their own gloves just in case we run low. Be sure to dress comfortably and come ready to help keep our communities clean and beautiful!
In addition to cleanups, one of our locations—Fonticello Park—will focus on beautification efforts, including weeding native meadows, spreading wood chips, and light painting to enhance the space.
Together, we can help Richmond shine, grow, and thrive—one cleanup at a time.
