Garden & Greenhouse Workday at the Fit4Kids Farm
Fit4Kids is a nonprofit dedicated to improving children’s health and wellness in the Richmond region.
Volunteer Position Description and Purpose:
Fit4Kids volunteers support hands-on programs and projects that help us reach more kids and schools in our community
Volunteer Position Description and Purpose:
Help us prepare seedlings that will be planted in Fit4Kids school gardens and shared with local schools and community partners. Your help will allow us to grow more plants and reach more kids!
Volunteer Duties & Responsibilities:
- Transplant seedlings into individual cells and party packs
- Fill trays and containers with soil
- Label and organize plants
- Help with other greenhouse tasks as needed
Qualifications, Skills, & Requirements:
No gardening experience necessary!
Time Commitment:
9am-12pm
Other Information:
- Wear comfortable clothes you don't mind getting dirty.
- Closed-toe shoes are required.
- Bring water and garden/work gloves if you have them, we'll have extra!
- Fit4Kids will provide any needed supplies and instructions.
